It worked for me, on x86_64 2.6.35-22-generic Ubuntu 10.10 Meerkat with
VMware-Workstation-Full-7.1.2-301548.x86_64.bundle

This is the latest log after the apt-get and trying to run the vmware
7.0.1 workstation player. At the end of this log there seems to be more
info than the previous log. Hope this helps. Thanks for you assistance
