is still occurring on Ubuntu 13.04 "Raring Ringtail" please open a new
bug report so that we can get a set of log files and system info, and
tell us what video card/chip you have.

Normally the expert guys here would recommend you to do a few google
searches to find the answer yourself... But since I am not an expert, I
think I can tell you. :)
try the command
lspci -nn | grep -i vga
in a terminal to see your video card type.
and try
cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep -i "nvid
Thanks, what is the terminal command to get the video card information.
Also I do not see a way to change the "video output option" in
system/preferences/monitors. Am I looking in the wrong place? again.

to use GPU to help decoding your video but just found nothing there.
