First off, im new to linux. Installed it for the first time today. This was the
first problem i ran into, and after spending several hours switching between
windows and ubuntu so i could search for a solution, i came across this. I
finally got the internet working with the rfkill command, so
After several hours of trying different methods I just found solution that
worked for HP Compaq nx6310:
Just disconnect the wire. That's all.
Seems that there is a sensor in the Ethernet slot that disables wlan when a
cable is present.
Because I even tried downgrading rfkill package to 0.3.x wit

on acer Aspire 5920g with Intel 4965 AGN
after upgrade 10.04 to 10.10 I noticed wifi always hard off after boot and
shutdown in active status.
I need to hard switch it on after boot.
