Public bug reported: Linux agamemnon 2.6.35-22-generic #35-Ubuntu SMP Sat Oct 16 20:45:36 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux
In my machine the hda-intel kerneldriver is irq shared with 2 ohci usb controllers, this cannot be solved by bios settings. Sound under windows is brightly clear, with earlier kernel and the realtek-alsa driverpackage everthing was fine. With 2.6.35 i cannot compile the realtek drivers to fix the problem. With kernel alsa the sound creates click, stutter and blobs like a really dirty cd. 16: 0 0 6 1062 IO-APIC-fasteoi ohci_hcd:usb3, ohci_hcd:usb4, hda_intel I have located the usb connectors group 3 and 4 and removed everything from them, the stutter is still alive. This problem exist since 10.04 and could be fixed there with the realtek driver pack pretty best. http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.10 Package: linux-image (not installed) Regression: Yes ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.35-22.35-genusername 2.6.35.4 Uname: Linux 2.6.35-22-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Architecture: amd64 CheckboxSubmission: 72ffaca291c05635776d4a13f9e644e4 CheckboxSystem: 32980ee028b29311fef8e195a759b031 Date: Sat Oct 23 10:39:29 2010 ProcEnviron: LANG=de_DE.UTF8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: linux ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug maverick -- ALC888 clicks, blobs and stutter with irq sharing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/665488 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
