I'm sorry to say that the computer I had the issue with was just retired
last week. I did have the problem the whole time I had that computer, and I
did notice recently that there was another application where I could see a
sign of the problem, but I can't remember what it was. I gave up on

I should note some further observations:
First of all, see the word "software" in the second line for the 'Mouse
selection' picture. This example is actually quite tame. I really can't see
what I'm typing properly most of the time. In fact, the last line in the
picture (should be the same as
