this is a well known bug. if you wish, you can try the new flash 9 beta
from adobe http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/flashplayer9/
*you do not need the aoss hack anymore as flash 9 now uses alsa*

I couldn't get it to upload as an attachment so I uploaded it to my

Would it make any difference that this didn't happen on Dapper with
Firefox 1.5 and that I didn't have to use aoss to get sound then?

Thank you for your bug report.Since this is occuring when using the
flash plugin, and since the Macromedia Flash plugin is closed source
(i.e., the Ubuntu developpers cannot go into and modify its source code
to solve bugs with it), I'll have to reject this bug since Ubuntu
developpers cannot
