Using Banshee 2.2.1 I still get duplicates every time when importing cd's as
mp3.
If I uncheck the button (from preferences) to follow the changes to the
library, I don't get duplicates.
I also have a duplicate remover installed and activated, but it doesn't
work in this case.

Ok, seems this solves the issued.
Is there any plan for a bug fix, concerning the problem with the Library
Watcher?

Hi,
I am sorry to say this but I still get duplicates when importing from
CD. I am using the latest Banshee version (2.0) updated today from PPA
but no change at all concerning the behaviour of the software.

This should be fixed in Banshee git, however there may be issues with
the library watcher. Please retest using the Banshee daily ppa, with and
without the library watcher enabled and report back.

I can confirm this bug for Banshee 1.8.0-2ubuntu1~maverick1. I rip my
CDs as FLAC. The tracks are reported twice in the library but are only
ripped to disk once. This occurs even after the CD is removed - at first
I thought it was just seeing the ripped track and the track on the CD
separately. Cou

This affects me too. Perhaps of importance is that I've changed the
encoding preferences. I'm importing as a high quality variable bit rate
mp3, but another low bit rate (also variable) appears during import. To
clarify: Two versions are imported, one high quality, one low quality. I
