According to bug 65665 (Cups printing fails after update to kde-3.5.5)
and Jonathan's comment[1] final Edgy seems not to affected this
problem. I'm closing this bug now. Feel free reopen if Í'm wrong.

available for Dapper (KUbuntu) and fix the problem.

I upgraded to edgy today and everything seems to work fine again.
kdelibs changelog does not mention this though, so I'm not sure whether
it was already fixed or it's just my computer

association since the last upgrade to KDE 3.5.5.
Like fhackenberger, we think that it is important to integrate the patch
for kdelibs4c2a. In the association, the 8 computers are under KUbuntu
Dapper and the cur
Could the Kubuntu kdelibs4c2a maintainer please integrate the patch and
release an update. I think this is quite a serious bug as it prevents
users from printing, unless they switch to lpr.
