Hi there
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with
latest Ubuntu release?
Thanks in advance.

I think I have similar bug, but in my case video file is not incomplete, but
corrupted. This happens in totem-video-thumbnailer but since I have totem-xine
installed and backtrace says it's libxine fault, I'm adding report here.
Please correct me if I should file it for another package.

uh, my bad. need to investigate this further, and see if there is an
somehow related bug at upstream about this

video_out.c:1381 is a line number no? That might be some libc bug, the
backtrace has just no totem function so I reassigned to next likely
place, libxine, since the crash happens to vo_get_property

seb, I tried apport-retrace on the report, and neither your stacktrace,
nor the generated report tells me why this segfault comes from libxine1.
For forwarding it upstream, I would need to supply a complete backtrace,
including the line number, preferably with values of parameters and
locals. Could
Debug backtrace generated from the crash:

I have exactly the same problem with Edgy up-to-date and a ffmpeg's .dvd
file (avi codec) created with Blender.
If I go to the directory where Blender are creating the video, totem
tumbnailer crash.
