I tried that but i don't get any feedback. (KMix has no mixers and i
don't have speakers on this machine.)

Perhaps this is not an important problem to you but it is quite important to
me. I am setting
up an Acer 630 notebook and I need sound.
If you don't have time to find and fix the problem could you at least give a
workaround?
Like how and where do you use force_addr and what address should I use?
Also an identical problem in Feisty / Ubuntu, kernel 2.6.20-13-generic
