In gnome-rdp 0.3, you can edit the group name in the session by right
clicking on the session and choosing the properties menu. Also, you can
use drag-drop to move session from one group to another.
There does seem to be a bug with assigning the group when creating the
session item, however, editi

The functionality is there, but clearly the way it is implemented leaves
much room for improvement. I'll try to clean this up soon.

Same problem with latest Gnome-RDP from SourceForge. There's simply no
"add group" functionality - typing one in when adding a server profile
does nothing, it still winds up in Default. And you can't open
Properties on Default.

I have released a newer version of GnomeRDP on the sourceforce site. I
don't have a debian packager to get the changes into the official
repositories at this point, so the repository versions are quite stale.

Are you using the version of GnomeRDP from the Ubuntu 10.04 repo or a
.deb from the sourceforge site?
If you start gnome-rdp from a terminal, are there any errors emitted
when you attempt to create or rename a group?
