I have exactly the same problems...
Running kernel 2.6.17-10 on an AMD64x2 with an full encrypted System
(root+home+swap) on xfs.
About 2 times a day my system crashes with something like this in the syslog:
Alpha kernel: [ 2306.902271] {page_to_pfn+0}
Alpha kernel: [ 2306.902280] PGD 34080067 PUD
I just tested the latest kernel package (linux-image-2.6.17-10.33) and
the problem persists.

After some internet search I found a problem on the Linux-Kernel Mailing List
that seems almost the same:

There, the problem is reported for 2.6.16.
As the problem results in data loss on my (xfs-/dm-crypt-)/home-
partition, I do not
