Upon following the instructions, I saw that the permissions for item
(Check whether the device files for the printer get created and the
ownerships ("root lp") and permissions (non-HP: "crw-rw-r--", HP: "crw-
rw-r--+") correctly set) were the non-HP values, though it is an HP

got set up with the wrong CUPS backend ("usb" instead of "hp").
