My power button also does nothing now on edgy on my Fujitsu P1510:

I have this problem currently on an Asus V6V laptop with Edgy and it was
working up until a few weeks ago. Running acpi_listen still shows that
the button shows up when pressed, but will need to look into it further
tonight to determine why it's not triggering.
