If you want to have the latest stable gcompris, not the buggy one in ubuntu
repos (pun intended), add:
deb http://thomas.enix.org/pub/debian/packages/ edgy main for Ubuntu Edgy
or
deb http://thomas.enix.org/pub/debian/packages/ dapper main for Ubuntu Dapper
This is the latest version 8.1.2(
