point.. I will mark as fixed.. Feel free to reopen if it's not fixed.

Yes, for now you need to update the GUI via the website. Click on the
Debian/Ubuntu link and double-click the .deb. In the version 5.x
series, it may be poss
This is still an issue in 12.10. It says a new GUI is available, but
there's no option to update to it.
Clamtk needs to add buttons for updating virus definitions (and for
updating the gui itself perhaps).
