Yes I've tried it and it works fine. I have installed more than one time
Ubuntu on this computer and I always have this problem. Sometimes it
also crashes using the live CD
I believe it's my mainboard that have some incompatibility with the
kernel linux maybe.. In Windows everything works fine..
Can you try out your setup on another pc and see if its just maybe your
mainboard?

No, the system keeps running normally. It's only the PS/2 keyboard and
mouse that stops responding.
If I attach a USB mouse I can use it normally. The problem is really
only with the PS/2 ports!!

Does the whole system freeze when the mouse and keyboard stops working or is it
just the keyboard and mouse?
Also can you confirm that once you have a usb attached instead that everything
works fine?

No they don't.. There is no light coming from there..
I can't find a pattern of the cause for this freeze. Some times only
takes a minute and other times takes hours..
