I haven't seen this myself with a touchpad. Can either of you replicate this
issue on Feisty or (if possible) Gutsy?
If so, can you please each attach your /etc/X11/xorg.conf and
/var/log/Xorg.0.log files, and the output from lspci -vv?

I can confirm this behaviour on my laptop (Asus V6J) running Edgy Eft
with latest updates.
Best way to unlock the pointer I've found so far is to find the place it
got stuck and click right mouse button there.
