Do you have multiple user accounts on your system? Are you a member of lpadmin group? Run the following command to find out (you username should be listed): $ grep "lpadmin" /etc/group Could you post the terminal output that asked for your password. -- Sudo password dialog doesn't appear trying

I am using Ubuntu 6.06 Dapper Drake desktop with all updates installed on a Travelmate 3002WTMi. I have checked and I have the gksu package version 1.3.7 installed. I do get the password dialog in other applications that needs root access. -- Sudo password dialog doesn't appear trying to install
