I have a HP dv7-6c95dx and I set power settings to suspend when I close
the lid, when I open the lid it tries to connect to wifi and asks me for
the password which i type in. It continues in a loop, I have tried
connecting to another wireless router with the same results. I have to

I still have this problem on kernel 2.6.35-32-generic (package: linux-
image-generic-lts-backport-maverick) on Ubuntu 10.04.
It doesn't happen every time I resume, but when it does happen, rmmod
iwlagn && modprobe iwlagn fixes it, but I wish I didn't have to do it.

Just substitute iwlagn for ath9k
That workaround also works for me. My card is:

This also happens to me on Kubuntu 11.10 with an HP d7-6b78.
rmmod iwlagn && modprobe iwlagn does /not/ solve the issue on my
hardware.

This happens to me in Ubuntu 10.04 with the latest Maverick backport
kernel (2.6.35-30.61~lucid1)
rmmod iwlagn && modprobe iwlagn solves it... Didn't happen before on
earlier Maverick kernels.
