i think this is an issue with the user agent that google chrome uses:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.3 (KHTML, like
Gecko) Chrome/6.0.472.22 Safari/534.3
Two possible fixes - fix the Ubuntu website to accept that user agent or
submit a bug to chrome to pass the OS in as
