Hm. That xorg.conf looks like it should work to me. Could you please attach the /var/log/Xorg.0.log generated when you use it? I suspect that the Monitors dialog isn't showing other options because Xinerama disables the XRandR extension that is normally used to handle dynamic resolution switchin

OK, now I have video on the USB attached monitor. It is only running at 800x600. The Monitors dialog doesn't show anything higher than that. How can I get it to 1280 x 1024 (native for that monitor)? My current xorg.conf is attached (as xorg.conf.try2). ** Attachment added: "xorg.conf.try2"
