I checked that before I posted the bug, "no-auto-rehash" is commented
out. Auto-completion indeed works now, though. I have no idea why. When
I installed mysql it wouldn't work, not even after a restart. However,
problem "solved" I guess.

I just tested on a Lucid base install with the version mentioned, and
the latest version (5.1.41-3ubuntu12.6). Neither displayed any problems
doing auto completion in the mysql command line client.
I suspect the issue may be that auto-rehash is turned off. Make sure
