I just want to confirm that version 2010.12.09-1 for Debian unstable
fixed the problems I was experiencing.
I think that a separate PPA would be very useful for youtube-dl. As you
said, this package requires tweaking too often; this makes it very
difficult to include it in conventional repos cons

I don't know what version is being used in Debian, but I'm running 10.10
and this bug (or a similar one) is recurring... I remember this was
fixed back in July for 10.10 and that it had not been merged with 10.04

Thanks for the link. It is a bit bureaucratic, but I will try to address
that, since lucid is a LTS distro.
Thanks, Rogério Brito.

I can't even remember the version that comes with lucid (and the bug
report apparently doesn't contain the version of the package).
Anyway, my recommended answer in this case is to just go grab the
versions that I upload to Debian sid, as they are usually released only
two or three days
I don't really know that either, just started to participate in
reporting bugs here at launchpad. Anyway, I've found the correct
procedure for an Ubuntu stable release update:

It would be nice to have it fixed si

I don't know the modus operandi to get a new version of my packages
updated with ubuntu, but you can freely grab the version that I have
been uploading to Debian.

Any chance of getting this fixed in 10.04?

Just one silly question:
Why is the changelog listed in comment #4 exactly like the one that I
uploaded to Debian, with all comments and even the date, time and
timezone of my own, but with my name nowhere in that changelog? Am I
missing something?
While the program is in the Public Domain my pac

So does that mean that the fixed package will eventually be merged with
the Ubuntu repositories?
How would one using, say Ubuntu 9.04, gain access to the fixed package
in the meantime?
