I may depend when you installed your system. If you installed your
system with a CD created before this change (which was two weeks ago)
you got the packages with the old name (as they were current then).
Installs from a CD containing the new packages won't see your problem.

It does, and also wants to install libgmime2.2-cil, but everything seems
to install now...is there any reason why these two packages aren't the
default ones installed?

Please try to install libgmime-2.0-2 as it replaces libgmime2.1. It's ok
if it wants to remove libgmime2.1. If you are unsure or if apt wants to
remove more packages you can report back with the output of apt-get
install libgmime-2.0-2.
