Hi! Can you give some specific details on what commands you're running,
and what state the drives (and mirror) are in when you boot?
I'm not clear if hda1 in your example has finished resync'ing, for
example.

Once at the busybox prompt I can use mdadm and zero the superblock on
/dev/hda1 and after that i can reboot and once rebooted add the disk
back in as a spare.

When i refer to remove and readding the disk, i mean doing so by pulling
the cable. So "failing" the drive.
