I am terribly sorry. When I replied earlier today, I had the
repositories for Koffice 1.6 Beta uncommented and that is why I was
receiving this error message. I have Koffice as is in the current
repositories installed on the current version of Edgy.

Nathan can you please run "sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install
koffice". the updates should have fixed this. You may also what to run
sudo apt-get upgrade.

Yes, successfully installed here also after a dist-upgrade (powerpc).

I have two systems running edgy: one powerpc, one x86. One or more of
the updates in the last few days has fixed this problem for me, at
least. I have successfully installed koffice on both systems.

I am having the same problem on a system (powerpc) which was updated
from dapper to edgy (knot2), with all updates since then installed:
$ sudo apt-get install koffice
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be install
