I fixed one half of the problem in trunk now. The part with missing Gnome Terminal. The problem was that gnome-terminal.desktop has OnlyShowIn=gnome set. In order for g_app_info_should_show () to return the correct value we need to call g_desktop_app_info_set_desktop_env ("GNOME") on daemon start
