The upstream link should have been updated as per Sebastian in comment
12. Updating now, even though it seems obsolete. :)

Here is the behavior that I get. Everything else being equal, the
indicator crashes when I add the standard US English layout to the list
of layouts. The output of xprop -root | grep XKB when it does crash is
the following:
_XKB_RULES_NAMES(STRING) = "xorg", "pc105", "ca,ro,us", "multix,std,",
"lv

Same for me. Happens on login, or when I try to add the applet. After the crash
I get a suggestion to delete the applet. I use English, Bulgarian and Bulgarian
(Phonetic).
Here is the output from xprop:
# xprop -root | grep XKB
_XKB_RULES_NAMES_BACKUP(STRING) = "xfree86", "pc102", "en_US", "", "
Happends to me too, but only when I choose Hebrew language in GDM.
With English language it works fine. In Hebrew language it collapses.
Attaching the backtrace.
Thanks.

OK, a bit more info on this bug. I reinstalled gnome-orca, ran it once
to configure it, and on a fresh login, this bug is back.
Also, FWIW, my Keyboard Indicator applet will not load currently.
Here is the xprop command again:
# xprop -root | grep XKB
_XKB_RULES_NAMES_BACKUP(STRING) = "xorg", "p
Thank you for the comment. Letting as "Needs Info" until you get a debug
backtrace. Could you run the xprop command again when you get the
crasher?

Thanks for your bug. The backtrace looks like
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=355074 upstream
Could you run "xprop -root | grep XKB" and copy that to a comment? Could you
get a backtrace with gnome-applets-dbg installed?
