akonadi.png to /usr/share/icons/ folder, pasting this comand: sudo cp
Downloads/Akonaditray.png /usr/share/icons/akonadi.png

akonaditray icon m
I just installed digiKam and it does not display a tray icon. Since
I've never used it before, I don't know if it's supposed to. But
there's no way to terminate it except to use 'kill'. Gnome desktop
2.32.0, Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick.

I'm experiencing the same problem. Gnome desktop 2.32.0, Ubuntu 10.10
Maverick. ps shows akonaditray is running, but there is no tray icon
visible. I have to use the command line to get to the KDE control
module for akonadi: 'kcmshell4 kcm_akonadi' I also notice that the
command 'kcmshell4 --
KWalletManager seems to be affected too with Maverick - no icon there in
may tray :-|

The GNOME indicator applet "eats" the icon when it is in passive mode,
and from what I see the akonadi status notifier is always in passive
mode, so it will not show up there.

Thats right - its only missing in gnome system tray, KDE Desktop its
there. I'll see if i can get it test in a maverick VM.
