At the moment, we are working to get this to work in 0.4
A workaround at the moment, however, is the following.
In Katapult, open the configure menu (ctrl+c on the launcher screen, or
by right clicking on the applet icon)
Then close this screen,, it will then re-0index your K Menu

I can confirm this. I think that the KDE bugtracker is probably the best
place for this feature request but sadly I was not able to report it.
The Bugwizard was hanging at a certain point.
