Vangelis Tasoulas, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu
better. This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any

I have added some information from the same machine untroduced this bug but it

** Description changed:
It`s a standard phenomenon since I upgraded to Karmic (and now Lucid) and
ext4, that I get some corrupted photographs!! If I copy 100 photos from my
camera or card reader, definitely the 3-4 of them will be corrupted.
The system I was experiencing this problem had only one CPU (AMD64 3500+ Socket

The installed system was a Kubuntu 64bits.

How many processors? I am asking because I believe I have found a
correlation between multiple CPUs and ext4 corruption. Also please
indicate which architecture -- the i686 implies this is not amd64, but I

bug reports.

Files which are larger than a gigabyte are almost always damaged.
I ran fsck and it detected er

I don't have it anymore cause I turned back to ext3 in the computer that I had
the problem, but 4 weeks ago someone else posted exactly the same in the
ubuntuforums thread that I opened for this bug.
