my graphic card is an ATI M6 mobility 16 Mo and i use "ati" driver in xorg.conf when i use the keys CTRL+ALT+F1 my screen change and do not respond (black screen). When i hit enter i heard the hard disk .. i feel that my computer ask me the login/password but i see nothing. i send you the output

perhaps this is a framebuffer problem. could you please tell us what graphics hardware you're using? Please attach the output of "lspci -vv" (without the quotes) using the website. Also, the output of "cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf|grep Driver" (again without the quotes). Lastly, if you use CTRL+ALT+F1
