Am I right that the problem was the non-working AIGLX/compositing, not
the warning itself? Marking as "Fix Released". The warning is assured to
mean no harm at all.

I can report I've been seeing this problem also with the radeon driver.
Direct rendering still seems functional though.
I went ahead and added the freedesktop.org upstream bug to this tracker.
Based on the posts on that report, it seems like it is only a cosmetic
issue and does not inhibit aiglx o

that is just a warning and that's not why aiglx doesn't work for you IMHO.
I have the same warning and it works for me, just for info.
Look for something else that might stop AIGLX to work properly (nvidia glx
drivers installed or so, I had that somehow)

Pascal: Being unpolite towards package maintainers won't help bugs get
solved any quicker. Could you keep bug reports relevant? The more time

Just to give a heads on. The bug is well known, and fixed in current
mesa HEAD.
We are just waiting for the official release of Mesa 6.5.1 (due in a few
days) to upload this fix for Edgy. No reason to upload another snapshot
today, and the final release in two or three days when it is released.

According to the bug report it should be fixed in the MESA CVS.
