Ok, rejected as this is caused by packages with broken versioning from a
3rd party repository. Please downgrade/upgrade all your packages to the
version from the official repository to get rid of the installation
failure.

As the package was renamed in 0.62-4ubuntu2 and 0.62-4ubuntu1 still had
python2.4-dbus the Conflicts/Replaces should be correct...
Do you have dbus updated from a 3rd party repository? Additional to what
Sebastien said: what's the output of "apt-cache policy python-dbus
python2.4-dbus"?

Could you run "dpkg -l python-dbus python2.4-dbus"? python-dbus
"Conflicts: python2.4-dbus (<< 0.62-4ubuntu2)", that should be enough
for that
Reassigning to dbus too, since the issue comes from that package
