I haven't reinstalled 8.04 yet. Whenever the "install debug packages"
comes up, I select it and the packages start downloading but they never
finish. The window closes everytime.

I think I'm going back to kubuntu 8.04. I'll try again when 10.04.1

I'm deleting some files when kde 4.4.2 is installed and dolphin crashes without
prompting for the "install debug packages" option.
Here is part of what is in the terminal when dolphin crashes without prompting
for a response.
(Each time dolphin crashes the last line in the terminal will be "Unabl
Of course I can't get it to fail now. I upgraded to kde 4.4.3. I'm
going to reinstall so I get kde 4.4.2 back again. I'll see if it

Hi. To properly handle this bug we will need a bit more information.
Could you please click the "install debug packages" in the KDE crash
handler, and once they're installed press the "reload" button? Then, you
need to paste the text that the crash handler generates into a comment
