I've noticed that scrolling the menu will align the text properly but
this only works on long menus that can actually be scrolled. Menus that
fit the screen will not look right unless shortening the application
names.

As I pointed in this bug report,

the bug still present, but i discovered that renaming apps with shorter
names and rebooting, solves the issue, at lest for me and apps involved.
Try this workaround
