Here we are in 2019 and it's still broken; the second line is not
underlined or clickable, and clicking the first line opens a truncated
url. Tested with gnome-terminal and alacritty, set markers=no.

Looking at this again, I wonder is it a result of the screen being
displayed by libncurses? Perhaps curses is forcing a line-break (since
it knows it's at the end of the line) and gnome-terminal considers that
a break in the URL? In a plain bash session, it's gnome-terminal
wrapping the line, so it
@Brian, can you explain the Low priority on this? Seems like with
google docs and calendar, long urls are becoming fairly pervasive.
Launchpad can also sometimes send emails that require having to stretch
terminal windows in order to open them.

No, I had 'set markers=no' in my .muttrc already. There are no '+'
indicators on the line ends.
I've re-tested this with the natty release and confirm it's still an
issue there.
Any other ideas?

The problem is caused by the "+" that mutt adds by default to any line
that has been wrapped, which confuses the terminal's link recognition.
You can work around this by setting the "markers" variable to "no",
which removes the "+". Not ideal, but not a major inconvenience I think.
