When I enable Compiz as window manager in KDE system settings I get KDE4 window
decorator crashes.

if i run:
>metacity --replace
windows decorations work fine.
so it needs more work to be fixed - sorry

I removed the current SRU, as there has been no (positive) feedback for
it in the last half year, and we need to clear the queue for the 10.04.2
release.

After restart today i continue experimenting with this bug, and see that
only with Oxygen window decoration the kde4-window-decorator segfault
with the others it works ok but a bug in compiz sometimes turn the
borders in blank lines.

Since this only affects the KDE part of compiz, which currently seems to
be rather broken anyway in lucid, this seems fine. SRU approval given,
please upload. But please get it fixed in maverick first/along with it.

contains v0.8.6 but the bug is still here. Then I upgraded KDE too with
its own ppa to version 4.4.4 but, again, the bug is still there.

FYI:
You can use the Plastik window them with Compiz & KDE Window Decorator, until
the fix is released...
Select K | System Settings | Appearance | Windows | Window Decoration (tab)
Select "Plastik" from the drop down.
Click Apply button.
