I've found that I can start Ubuntu in safe mode and run it in low-
graphics mode. This forces my screen to a 4:3 resolution (I have a
16:10 monitor) and a lot of the graphical elements (one of the big
selling points, as it were) are not there. Winbook has drivers in

I wanted to boot Lucid 10.4 desktop 64bit from an USB-Stick which was
created with unetbootwin under windows XP.
It starts with booting, until a pink screen appears, with "UBUNTU". Then
there was a Welcome Sound and thats it.
