I'm having what sounds like the same issue, but mine extends further
than just the tabs -- sometimes I can't close the browser at all.
I'm unable to close tabs, as well as the browser. It's as if the X
(close) button loses it's ability to function.

Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. Sometimes Firefox profiles can
become corrupt and/or extensions can conflict. Could you please try
this with a new profile and see if the problem still exists? You do not
