this bug still exists in edgy knot3 (fresh install from live cd), you have to manually add the module therm_adt746x to /etc/modules i really hope this bug will be fixed soon, this bug might destroy hardware! (ibook g4, 1,2GHZ) -- therm_adt module https://launchpad.net/bugs/56979 -- ubuntu-bug
