Did this get fixed in edgy? (as well as bug 54166)
It is too bad that such a small but critical problem doesn't get
attended to quickly enough...

this bug still exists in edgy knot3 (fresh install from live cd), you
have to manually add the module therm_adt746x to /etc/modules
i really hope this bug will be fixed soon, this bug might destroy
hardware!

- there is a failsave in the firmware but i'm not sure if that is relevant in
