I too am having the same error message upon bootup. I am running Ubuntu
10.04 64 bit on a Dell Latitude E6510 with an Intel Core i5 and Intel

I'm having this bug too.. mine is Acer Aspire 4710. i remember seeing
this bug when 9.10 was developed as well. Something messes up when u
guys work on a new splash theme

I experience the exactly same problem on my Fujitsu S6420 notebook which
running Lucid 10.04 amd64 beta2 with the same SD host controller: O2 Mirco.
Then I tried booting my notebook using the latest Ubuntu Lucid 10.04 RC AMD64
LiveCD also. The same problem happened which is seen in the log files
