Hi All,
The Hardy Heron Alpha series is currently under development and contains
an updated version of the kernel. It would be helpful if you could test
the latest Hardy Alpha release: http://www.ubuntu.com/testing . You
should be able to partly test using the LiveCD - you can't test
HIbernate
final log.
I will be waiting for solutions.

same problem. Can't perform the shutdown.
I own a Nvidia Geforce Pcx5300.
If I work with the vesa driver instead of nvidia i can perform the shutdown,
but I can't use compiz.

Nothing, I tried to put the intel_agp module in the blacklist because
many people who have this problem also have (like me) an onboard graphic
card and one more which they use :(

I got the same problem on a pentium 4 ht, everything works perfectly on a fresh
install, if I install the nvidia-glx driver the system on shutdown closes all
services perfectly and hangs on 'system will now halt'.
