I'm using latest GUTSY and I don't experience this problem since a long
time. This was fixed some time after I reported this bug and I forgot to
update my report: sorry. Anyway, you can close it. Thanks for your hard
work.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue
for you? Thanks in advance.
The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducab
An other solution is to select a keyboard layout without dead keys.

Thanks for your bug report. Are you sure you have Compose key enabled in
Keyboard Preferences? You have to choose a compose key trigger to make
it work. If you have any further problem, please make sure to leave a
