Same here. With karmic and earlier releases only the package acpid was needed in the VM. To get the shutdown in a lucid-VM working one has to install the package acpi-support too. However, this pulls in a lot of dependencies like hdparm, x11-xserver-utils, radeontool, wireless-tools and others. Thi
