I twice downloaded the ISO via HTTP. Both times were incomplete -- the
connection was lost and files ended up less than 699 MB.

downloaded twice from http://www.ubuntu.com/desktop/get-ubuntu/download.
Both files have a size of 699.4 MB. I burn iso file to a disc using
Brasero Disc Burner, no error was reported.

Optiplex 380 and Precision M4300. The latter one runs Ubuntu 9.10 well.
