thank you for your bug report, gvfs-backends is installed by default in
Ubuntu and in the rhythmbox Recommends list too, that's not a bug, you
either decided to remove it or upgraded at a time where gvfs was not
installable and validated its removal without checking the update
summary, in any case
Problem turned out to be lack of http support in gvfs, which could be
fixed by manually installing the package gvfs-backends.
