Like Federico Vera said the quickstarter icon is not displayed properly.
It has a white background like the pidgin tray icon in #532789. Just
wanted to clarify this.

I would like to mention another problem : when including a picture with
a transparent background in Writer, the pictures is displayed with a
black background, which is very annoying (see attachment).

Yeah this is not a good look for a key application in the default
install. I've switched back to New Wave which retains the dark panel and
window decorations, but looks fine for open office.

The item (3), dark lines separating menus, is not a problem in Radiance.
Therefore, if
the OOffice internal style was always that of Radiance, that problem would be
solved.
This looks essentially like clearlooks.
The grey border of buttons is, however, present for both themes.

I just wanted to add that the openoffice quickstarter icon also looks
disgusting with Ambiance.
I have nothing against the new themes, but as @Aethralis said the look should
be consistent with the default applications especially OpenOffice.

I have to wonder why this is not considered. I'm working with openoffice
most of the time and the new default theme (ambiance) makes it look
really unpleasant. I can change themes easily enough, but the question
remains should default theme look inconsistent and out of place with
some (default) app
