I'm using the proposed package for a while and did not noticed any
regression so far, i cannot reproduce the original bug but i can confirm
that it doesn't cause any regression. msn still works fine here.

I am experiencing this issue.
It happens just with msn contacts. I'm using Empathy 2.30.1 unstable.
After an update on 25th or 26th of May the contacts are shown as permanently
offline.
Butterfly error log attached.
